Just in case anyone was wondering, Cayenne came home from the animal hospital today!
Mike and I went to visit her this afternoon and I packed her a bag of goodies, including her favorite kitty treats (Whisker Lickin's), yogurt, shredded cheese, and turkey and gravy baby food. She dove right in like she was starving. She didn't eat a huge amount, but she ate some of everything. She thought that baby food was delicious!
Mike and I thought the baby food stunk. I can't imagine feeding your baby that. But Cayenne liked it. Of course, she also enjoys sniffing Larry's butt...
So anyway. She got to come home this evening. She is on a higher dose of insulin now and has to have it twice a day instead of just in the mornings, and she is on medication for nausea and to increase her appetite. And I need to go coax her out from under the bed about now to take the bandage off her leg where they took out the IV catheter. At least she's home.
